Position Summary:
The Evening Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the preschool facility. This position ensures classrooms, common areas, and restrooms are cleaned and prepared for the next school day.
The Evening Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the preschool facility. This position ensures classrooms, common areas, and restrooms are cleaned and prepared for the next school day.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize children’s bathrooms and staff restrooms
- Sweep, mop, and disinfect hallways and common areas
- Clean and maintain front lobby and entrance areas, including stairs
- Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, including floors, tables, and surfaces
- Empty trash and replace liners throughout the building
- Wipe and disinfect high-touch surfaces (doorknobs, light switches, railings, etc.)
- Vacuum carpets and rugs as needed
- Restock restroom supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, soap)
- Ensure cleaning supplies are used safely and stored properly
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to administration
- Assist with general cleaning tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience in janitorial or housekeeping work preferred
- Ability to work independently and follow cleaning procedures
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a sanitary environment
- Ability to lift up to 25–30 pounds
- Reliable and dependable with evening availability
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the building
- Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment (mop, vacuum, etc.)

Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
